CubiDesign Gehäuse GmbH works with a modern manufacturing process for

plastic housing

production which is suitable for prototypes and for small or even medium quantities (up to 10 000 housings a year) because CubiDesign Gehäuse GmbH uses a “cutting-bending technology” that is to say without formative tools (on the contrary to plastic injection mouldings or vacuum forming technologies).

CubiDesign Gehäuse GmbH uses plastic sheets for manufacturing the housing parts. These sheets are made of PS Polystyrene, Acrylic or even ABS. They are available in various material strengths and colours.

First of all, the designers of CubiDesign Gehäuse GmbH work with a CAD (Computer Assisted Development) system. Then the housing parts/components will be cut out from the plastic sheets thanks to CNC machines. These different housing’s components are then hot bent and jointed to each other with the help of a chemical liquid product. Thus the plastic housing is completed with various components such as fastening domes, screws or rubber feet.

The company CubiDesign Gehäuse GmbH offers various services for their housings: for example, the possibility to effectuate a silk-screen print; the housing can be lacquered, CubiDesign Gehäuse GmbH can coat the interior of the housing for an electronic compatibility or for an antimicrobial effectiveness. This is also possible to order membrane keyboards and other components (displays, hinges…)

With its modern manufacturing process, that is quite easy and quick for CubiDesign Gehäuse GmbH’s employees to modify or correct the housing (e.g. a pocket, a different material strength…).
